The Menzies Research Institute has launched three new studies into arthritis in Tasmania.
The studies will focus on three different forms of the condition - Ankylosing spondylitis, scleroderma and psoriatic arthritis.
Menzies Research Fellow Jane Zochling says the studies will help determine how common the conditions are, and come up with a system for early diagnosis and treatment.
"An early diagnosis means early treatment and a better outcome in the end for everybody," Dr Zochling said.
The studies will be statewide and volunteers can contact the Menzies Research Institute on 1800 638 124.
