Welcome to the Greater Media Newspapers

You can select a town at any time from the list on the left, or from the drop-down “Town” link. Once you select a town, your browser will remember your choice, but you can change towns at any time.
The main news stream in the center of the page is a mixture of your Local Town News, Bulletin Board events, Weather and Local Traffic Alerts. The red and green buttons stop and restart the stream. The up and down arrows allow fast-forward and reverse.

The rotating photo presentation on the left is a mixture of late-breaking photos from your paper, and “Best of the Week” photos from all our papers.
Our search feature is unique. If you enter a word like “pizza” or “schools,” and hit “Enter,” you will get Google search results focused on your local town. We also offer search of, Greater Media Newspaper articles, New York Times articles and Yahoo search. Times articles will bring back New Jersey news first.

Please feel free to add your own calendar events and take part in our online forum.
“My Town” pages also feature video news from around the country and the world organized by: General News, Business News, Technology News, Sports News and Entertainment News. Make your selection at the bottom of the video presentation.

The “Traffic” link will show late-breaking local traffic problems in your area. Yellow markers are warnings, orange markers are more serious and red markers show accidents or closings. If you click on a colored marker, it will expand and show details on the specific issues. The traffic warnings are updated throughout the day.

The “Local Info” link has listings of local municipal, school, non-profit and other links and email addresses that may be helpful to you. If you would like to add something to our list, please contact our Webmaster.
“My Town” pages are best-viewed using Internet Explorer 5 (or later) or Safari 2 (or later). Flash is also required. Other browsers may also work.
Additional features…

Clicking in the upper left hand corner of the town photos at the top of the page will show a larger view.
The up and down arrows remove or add the photo strip at the top of the page. The right and left arrows offer a wider presentation when viewing calendar entries.
The help link will bring you back to this page.
Please let us know what we can do to make your “My Town” visits more helpful and informative.
