impact gel

“You’ll write Impact Gel today?”“Yeah.”“How’s it gonna start?”“‘Hi, Billy Mays here.’” - (Anthony Sullivan and Billy Mays, from the Pitchmen outtakes on DiscoveryChannel.com)
We’ve been waiting. The whole infomercial world has been waiting. Most of society has been waiting, and now the wait is over.
Billy Mays and Anthony Sullivan’s long-awaited TV show, “Pitchmen” will finally be gracing our television airwaves on Discovery Channel.
Watch as Billy and Anthony pick an inventor, agree to pitch their product, and help bring it to market.

And, thankfully, their endeavor isn’t all wine and roses. Creative differences, emotional spats, and crazy moments arise:
“Billy is the worst producer I’ve ever worked with,” - Billy on Anthony (from the discoverychannel.com outtakes)
“I strike out all the time trying to explain who he is…I’m gonna kick his a**,” Billy on Anthony (from the discoverychannel.com outtakes).

In the end, these two do respect each other quite a bit, but for those who think what they do simple and easy, then you definately need to watch Pitchmen tonight!. These men not only star but also write, produce, direct, and at the end, these two don’t just ship off to the next shoot, they’re hard at work with the editing team. They’re also paying close attention to the test numbers to see how well their commercials perform.

Want a taste of the melee? Check out the outtakes and video shorts on DiscoveryChannel.com. Go the list of a few clips on the Discovery Channel playlist and you’ll find As Seen on TV Network-hosted Dual Saw!
I’m looking forward to watching TV for a change.

(Note: I would have put up video clips of the show, but discoverychannel.com is stuck in 2006 and won’t give out embed codes and I’m typically not the kind of person to post the video without said codes. Yeah, we’re gonna have to talk to Billy and Sully and see what we can do to get clips).

  1. I gotta tell you I hated the show because it made the impact gel soles look like a circus trick but they really are a medical breakthrough.

I work for a podiatrist and we recommend them all the time to treat minor foot ailments. We even use the technology to make custom foot orthics to correct several foot and ankle maladies.
