Who was sent home? No one! The judges used the ‘judges save’ to keep Matt Giraud on the show, despite his having received the lowest score from the voting audience.
Not that any of this overshadows the 27-year-old actress and R&B singer-songwriter’s performance of If This Isn’t Love from her self-titled debut album. Jennifer Hudson American Idol never ceases to thrill and amaze with her powerhouse voice. She delighted the audience and viewers as she delivered spine tingling high notes.
If This Isn’t Love lyrics and song are by Theron Thomas, Terry Thomas and Brian Kennedy, and produced by Kennedy for the singer’s debut album.
In talking about her return to the show to perform, Jennifer Hudson, expressed her gratitude, excitement and enthusiasm over the success of her debut album, which was released last fall and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and won the 2009 Grammy for Best R&B Album. She also mentioned her engagement, though not letting us know a wedding date. It is also one of her first performances since the Jennifer Hudson family tragedy of last October which saw the shooting deaths of her mother, brother and nephew.
While the prerecorded Jennifer Hudson sang the touching If This Isn’t Love Lyrics, the singer is elsewhere, in her first headlining tour with fellow R&B singer-songwriter Robin Thicke.

This is to help those on the show who should be getting their chance to make it for the first time EVER. And well someone needs to send the judges a clear message, but I know my instincts. I knew from day one something was stunk in Denmark. But this takes the cake…
ReplyDeleteAmerican Idol ADAM played Arty on Home Improvement Nick at nite. It was on as I started posting this. I was working on my twitter posts. (on twuffer) And I am staring at the T.V going, "THAT is Adam!!!!" It's the episode where the youngest learns karate.
How odd that on Night 1 they blew Adam up and he was the ONLY 1 w/ special lare and in charge effects!!! And all the judges told everyone but Adam, they stunk!!! Did you catch that?
So, let me say Adam should be in the entertainment business, he's been in it long enough. But not this show. And NOT now! But for him to stay a moment longer on a show that helps no names get into the industry is as insulting as it gets. The show is about you and me and people who should have a chance to "Make It" but who are cold off the street. They should be getting this CHANCE TO MAKE IT NOW. Not Adam. Sure, why not go ahead and put Carrie Underwood on their to win this year's show, too. Why not? If Adam stays, the show is a total waste and a scam. Kick Adam off now.
