Kourtney Pike scored the game-winning goal with 1:30 left as the Brick girls lacrosse team rallied for a 9-8 Shore Conference Class A South victory over host Toms River East on Tuesday.
Kourtney Pike, a junior, finished with two goals and her younger sister Kristina Pike, a freshman, had two goals and one assist. Alyssa Perotti led Brick with four goals and one assist.
"The second half was back and forth and it was definitely intense," sophomore Taylor Nicholas said. "There was a lot of pushing and a lot of check calls. We really got aggressive because we really wanted to win this game."
The Green Dragons (1-3, 1-3) trailed 6-4 at halftime before outscoring the Raiders (0-5, 0-5) 5-2 in the second half to pull out the victory.
"We work every day on our transitions and our passing," Nicholas said. "Everything that we've worked on in our long practices came through for us in the game."
Brick goalie Kaitlyn Fratterman made eight saves.
Toms River East's Katie Gallaher had three goals and three assists. Samantha Glazier (two saves) and Molly Leighty (two saves) each played goalie for Toms River East.
TOMS RIVER NORTH 16, BRICK MEMORIAL 10: Tatum Coffey scored four of her five goals in the first half as the Mariners (4-3, 4-1) gained a Class A South victory over the Mustangs (2-3, 1-3).
Coffey had two assists to go along with her five goals. Alex McMahon added five goals and one assist.
Corinne Coyle had three goals and one assist and Jessica Rosa had two goals and two assists for Brick Memorial.
COLTS NECK 11, MANALAPAN 7: Senior Sam Shaw scored all three of her goals in the second half and junior Nicole Papaleo had both of her goal after halftime as the Cougars (1-4, 1-2) outlasted the Braves (1-2, 1-2) in Class A North.

Junior Olivia Musto scored four goals to lead Manalapan.

MARLBORO 18, MANCHESTER 2: Lauren Kirsch scored four goals, including the 100th of her career, to lead the Mustangs (4-1) to a nondivisional victory over the visiting Hawks (1-2).

Early in the second half, Kirsch hit the milestone on her fourth goal as she rolled into the crease and beat the Manchester keeper to the upper corner.

TOMS RIVER SOUTH 16, OCEAN 10: Meredith Kalinowski scored four of her six goals and Jamie Blondina four of her five in the first half as the Indians (5-0) built a 9-4 lead on their way to a nondivisional win over the Spartans (1-4).

Becky Gilman led Ocean with four goals. She had two in each half.
RED BANK CATHOLIC 11, ST. ROSE 7: Senior MaryEllen Whitlock scored a game-high three goals and senior goalie Mara Catlaw made 12 saves to help the Caseys (4-0) to a nondivisional win over the Purple Roses.
Annie Fallon, Kylie McMenamen and Nikki Pineda each scored two goals for Red Bank Catholic, while St. Rose got two goals apiece from Kim Simon and Chelsea Roszak.
IN BOYS LACROSSE:
MOORESTOWN 13, CBA 7: John Marcelli's five-goal, one-assist effort led the Quakers (5-0) to a nonconference victory over the Colts (3-1).
John LoPresti added two goals and two assists and Brian Lapres had two goals and one assist.
Joakim Ryan led CBA with five goals. Brian Weil added one goal and three assists and Don Finn had one goal and one assist. CBA goalie Matt Deiner had seven saves.

COLTS NECK 9, HOWELL 7: Nick Bisagnano broke a 7-7 tie with 4:54 to play and scored again with 2:24 to go as the Cougars (3-2, 3-2) downed the Rebels (1-3, 1-3) in Class A North.
Bobby Tamas scored two of his team-high three goals in the second quarter to tie the game 4-4 heading into halftime.
